UMMC Ekaterinburg served up a timely reminder that they will be the team to beat in the EuroLeague Women Final Four by edging Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje in Russia's top flight on Sunday.

Candace Parker led UMMC with 22 points and seven rebounds in a 73-69 victory over Sparta&K, their opponents at the Final Four on April 8.

Gundars Vetra's team threatened to blow Sparta&K out when they stretched a 23-22 lead at the end of the first quarter to 42-28 at half-time.

Sparta&K, the four-time defending champions of the EuroLeague Women, stormed back in the third quarter when they outscored UMMC 27-19 but the hosts held on.

France internationals Sandrine Gruda (11pts) and Celine Dumerc (9pts) shone for UMMC, with Russia's Maria Stepanova also weighing in with 10 points and seven boards.
