Spanish powerhouse Ros Casares had a strong first quarter and stormed to a 79-63 victory over UMMC Ekaterinburg on Wednesday with USA veteran Delisha Milton leading the way.

Milton, a member of last year's EuroLeague Women champions Gambrinus Sika Brno, poured in 21 points for the Valencia team.

The Spanish side used an early 23-9 lead as a launchpad for a decisive triumph.

Ros Casares lead Group C with two wins in their first three games, although Fenerbahce can take over the leadership with a home success against Gambrinus on Thursday.

The Spanish team's Elena Tornikidou once again turned in a performance that shows the 41-year-old is still one of the best in the business with 17 points and five rebounds.

These are good times for Ros Casares, who top the Liga Femenina after beating Gran Canaria last time out, 68-60, for their sixth triumph in seven outings.

Suzie Batkovic had 19 points in defeat for UMMC Ekaterinburg.
