UMMC Ekaterinburg have bolstered their line-up for the FIBA EuroLeague Women campaign by signing Australian international centre Suzy Batkovic on a one-year deal.
The 1.9m Opals star, a member of her country's silver medal winning side at the Olympics in Greece, is currently on WNBA play-off duty with the Seattle Storm.
Last season in Europe, Batkovic played for Ros Casares, the side that will be Spain's lone representative in the EuroLeague Women in 2005-06.
In the Liga Femenina, she averaged 13.5 points and 8.4 rebounds for Ros Casares, while in the EuroLeague she poured in 11.5 points and grabbed seven rebounds while averaging more than 27 minutes per contest.
Batkovic had the option of staying with Ros Casares for another season but elected to depart for Russia, where many of the world's top women players are moving now because of big budgets at the clubs.
Before last season, Batkovic played for European giants Valenciennes.
