Ekaterinburg started with a fery good five consisting of Milton, Dixon, Griffith, Khazova and Goustilina but the team of Bourges didn’t allow themselves to be impressed; they led 4-0 thanks to Drljaca and Grgin. The defence of Bourges had to fight hard especially against Griffith.
The first transfers were made: Ossipova for Ekarerinburg and Marcauskaite for Bourges. Ekaterinburg had to rely on free-throws in order to stay in the wake. At the end of the first quarter, the score is 18-14 for Bourges.
In the 11th minute the game changed as Drljaca was taken off the court with three fouls. Due to a throw from Dixon, the score was equal and at the end of the quarter Ekaterinburg inflicts a 2-15 and the score is 27-40 at half-time. Rebounds and bungling made the difference.
At the beginning of the third quarter, Bourges tried to get back into the game but didn’t succeed. Even the fans couldn’t help their team to recover. In the 28th minute Bourges finally came back and could decrease the difference in points to ten.
The start of the last game period looked promising with a three-pointer of Grgin, but Ekaterinburg’s Goustilina shot a three-pointer as well. The game ended 62 – 70.
