|Ivan Nelyubov's 16 points came in handy for Tartu Rock as they held off visiting Khimik|
Tartu Rock registered a big win over Khimik to stay alive in Group D of the EuroChallenge thanks to a huge second half effort.
The hosts had trailed 47-41 at the break, but outscored the visitors from Ukraine 53-30 in the second half to get the result they needed.
Ivan Nelyubov and Justin Ingram had 16 points each in the win, while Timo Eichfuss added 13.
Things were looking ominous for Tartu Rock for much of the night and even though they improved early in the third quarter they still trailed 58-57 after Sergiy Popov's jump-shot with 3:15 to go in the period.
But Valmo Kriisa responded with a pair of free throws and then a three-pointer from Eichfuss gave them a lead they would not surrender.
That was part of a 12-2 run to the end of the period as Joosep Toome's three-pointer put them 69-60 up.
Marek Doronin pushed that into double figures early in the fourth quarter and they held off the challenge of Khimik to pull further clear before Nelyubov added the final exclaimation mark with a late dunk.
Popov and Willie Deane led Khimik with 13 points each while Devoe Joseph had 12.
The result leaves the teams tied up at 2-2 in the group.
