BC NN got their EuroChallenge campaign on track with an 85-73 triumph over Khimik Yuzhny on Tuesday.

The Nizhny Novgorod club, which lost at Hungarian outfit Atomerömü SE in their opener last week, got 19 points from Ivan Paunic as they bounced back in front of their home fans.

The result has left both sides with 1-1 records in Group D.

BC NN had a couple of important scoring stretches that put them on their way to victory.

On top 18-17, BC NN's Michal Ignerski made a lay-up to spark a 7-0 run that was capped by an Ernest Bremer three-ball.

After taking a 43-33 lead to the break, BC NN returned to the floor and took a firm grip on proceedings.

With 6:39 to go in the third quarter, Artem Yakovenko nailed one of his two three-pointers in the contest.

BC NN's Bremer then stole the ball from Darrel Mitchell and following a Khimik timeout, Paunic passed to Ivan Nelyubov and he dunked for a 53-39 lead.

An Ignerski three-point play not long after stretched the advantage to 60-43.

Khimik pulled to within nine earlier in the fourth quarter but got no closer.

Ignerski, Bremer and Nemanja Protic each weighed in with 12 points for BC NN and Nelyubov finished with 10.

For Khimik, Aaron McGhee had 15 points and Popov 14.
