EuroCup outfit Khimik coach Dmytro Bazelevsky was in a confident mood after his side ended a two-game losing streak by beating BC Odessa.
Goran Cakic inspired Khimik to a 83-69 victory with 18 points and seven rebounds, and Bazelevsky said: "The game was really nervous though we could avoid that. Unfortunately, as soon as my team gained the lead, they relaxed too early."
Khimik now face Igokea Partizan on Tuesday in the EuroCup Elimination Round Two and Bazelevsky hopes his side`s momentum will carry them through.
He said: "We're in good mood before the start of the EuroCup.
"In Bosnia, I will demand just a good game. I think the result will follow."
Bazelevsky`s team had charged to a 3-1 winning record in the Superliga until successive defeats had them languishing in midtable, but now they are 4-3.
Fellow EuroCup sides Cherkaski Mavpy and Dnipro each suffered their third losses in the Superliga.
Mavpy unexpectedly fell 68-70 to MBC Mykolaiv at home, Rolandas Jarutis top scoring with 18 points, while Azovmash beat Dnipro 91-69 to prolong their winning record to 7-0. Viktor Kobzystyy scored 17 points.
Krivbasbasket lost 67-85 at home to Sumykhimprom.
