Oleksandr Kolchenko is a gifted player with some exciting skills and is recognised as one of the most deadly young shooters in European basketball. While some believe he hasn't quite realised the potential he showed while a teenager, he is still a player who can provide Ukraine with a big scoring option on the wings. He is the type of player who is hard to stop if he gets on a roll and makes a couple of early shots and can explode big time as his 24 points against Maccabi Haifa in EuroChallenge last season underlines. He is physically strong and also has great height, allowing him to shoot over opponents. As well as his scoring abilities from outside, he can penetrate to the hoop but isn't really a player with a strong mid-range game. |
