Azovmash and BC Kyiv continued their winning ways in the Ukrainian Superliga over the weekend.

Azovmash posted a 98-78 triumph over BC Odesa, though they had to overcome strong resistance from their opponents in the first half.

Khimik sealed a last-gasp 68-67 in their final Group B EuroCup match at BC Barons but the victory was a pyrrhic one, with both sides eliminated.

Yaroslav Zubrytskyy, who would finish with a 14-point haul, sealed victory for the men from Ukraine seven seconds from the buzzer with the last scoring shot, a jump shot.

A battle between two EuroCup sides saw Ukrainian champions Azovmash suffer their second defeat of the Superliga campaign on Saturday after falling to a 96-88 loss against Khimik in Yuzhny.

Khimik gained a 50-40 edge early in the third quarter but Azovmash managed to come back into the reckoning as the period progressed.
