CEZ Nymburk coach Muli Katzurin has warned his players their opening EuroCup clash against ASK Riga will be their toughest match of the season.
Nymburk entertain ASK in their first Group F match at the Sportovni Centrum on Wednesday.
The Czech champions will also face KK Vojvodina Srbijagas and Maroussi Athens in the group, but Katzurin is adamant their clash against the Latvians will prove to be their most challenging of the campaign.
He told www.basket.idnes.cz: "I expect this to be our most difficult game this season.
"We played a couple of quality European teams in preparation but this will be another sort of game. It is not possible to compare a friendly game and a game in the EuroCup."
Katzurin also believes point guard Curtis Millage and guard Sandis Valters will be the main threats to his side.
"ASK Riga play quick basketball thanks to the athletic abilities of American playmaker Millage. This player is extremely good in a quick transition game," he added.
"Another dangerous player is shooter Valters - we have to play very good defensively against him to avoid him scoring." |
