CEZ Nymburk center Gintaras Einikis was named Player of the Week after scoring 22 points and leading his team to an impressive 88-72 triumph over Fenerbahçe.

Einikis, who entered play averaging just over eight points a game, chose an opportune time to have his best offensive game of the season.

CEZ Nymburk’s victory improve their record to 2-2 in second round play and gave Fenerbahçe their first loss of the round.

The 36-year-old was 10-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-3 from three-point range.

His three-pointer to start the fourth quarter started an 11-5 Nymburk run which allowed them to take a double-digit lead and control of the game.

Einikis’ performance provided a flashback of his glory years in the mid-nineties when he was a fixture with the Lithuanian National Team and an offensive threat in league play.
