A strong second half from CEZ Nymburk saw the Czech champions cash in their first EuroCup victory of the season against Iscar Nahariya on Wednesday evening.
Nymburk were coming off a road defeat against a tough BC Khimki outfit while Nahariya opened their campaign with an easy win against Basket Swans from Austria.
Nahariya looked to be on the way to a second victory against Nymburk and led for almost the entire first half after opening the game with a 7-0 run.
Nahariya's lead reached as many as 11 points in the second quarter, but a 15-7 run from the home side saw them reduce the deficit to three points at halfitme, 44-47.
Adam Hess opened the third quarter with a three-pointer for Nymburk and the Czech side were off to the races.
They outscored Nahariya 16-2 over the first five minutes of the period to take a commanding lead, 60-49.
Nymburk managed to keep Nahariya pinned back under a double digit lead for most of the remainder of the game, but the visitors gave Nymburk a scare with just 4 minutes to play when a Branko Milisavljevic jump shot cut the lead to 4 points, 82-78.
But Nymburk quickly regrouped and buckets from Stanislav Votroubek and Hess saw them back in control.
Charles Mandic top scored for Nymburk with 20 points on 5/6 three-point shooting, while Hess added 19.
