CEZ Nymburk coach Michal Jezdik believes his side have to beat BC Kyiv if they are to have any chance of qualifying for the EuroCup's quarter-finals.

Cellar-dwellers CEZ go into Tuesday's home game against the Ukrainian giants on the back of two straight defeats in Group I - to Fenerbahce and Dynamo St Petersburg.

Jezdik admits a third reverse could signal the end of his team's European campaign for another season.

"We all know that we have to win this game to keep our chances of advancing to the next stage of this competition," he told www.basket.idnes.cz.

"Every single player has to play 100%, especially in defence. We have to work hard in defence."

Jezdik appreciates his side face a tough task if they are to stymie a Kyiv team who thrashed reigning champions Dynamo 90-63 earlier in the round.

"They have 10 solid players so they rarely have any bad periods in the game," he added. "They changed some of their well-known players before the season but their quality did not diminish.

"Nevertheless, I am sure we can beat Kyiv despite that."
