Nymburk Too Strong For Nahariya
// 22.11.2005

Nymburk prevailed at Ironi Iscar Nahariya for their second victory over the Israeli team this year in the EuroCup to put themselves in a strong position of advancing to the next phase of the competition.

The Czech champions, who won the first Group D game between the two sides 93-86, stunned the Israeli outfit 70-64 on Tuesday to leave both teams with three victories and two defeats.

Nahariya now must win against Khimki next week to qualify for Round II.

Maurice Whitfield, who had 17 points for Nymburk, said: "We came here expecting to win and we did."

Cory Carr (Ironi Iscar Nahariya)

The visitors led 18-13 after the first quarter and stretched that to 34-26 by half-time.

Nahariya, who suffered a last-second defeat against Hapoel Jerusalem at the weekend, fell behind even further and trailed 53-41 after three quarters.

They tried to claw their way back but were unsuccessful.

Adam Hess also had 17 points for Nymburk.

Cory Carr and Jayson Wells each had 16 points for Nahariya.
