PLAYER HISTORY
Radek Necas

Career: BVV Brno (Czech Republic-NBL, 1998-2000), Mlekarna Kunin (Czech Republic-NBL, 2000-02), Lasko KK (Slovenia-1A League, 2002-03), CEZ Basketball Nymburk (Czech Republic-NBL, 2003-05), BK Prostejov (Czech Republic-NBL, 2005-07)

The strongest part of Necas’ game is rebounding. His father, Josef, was an outstanding forward known for his unerring accuracy from long distance for Zbrojovka Brno and the Czech National Team during the early 1990s, and Radek started playing the game at the age of eight in his home town of Brno. After playing for BVV Brno and Mlekarna Kunin, he moved to Pivovarna Lasko in Slovenia, where he reached the quarterfinals of the ULEB Cup. Then he returned to his native Czech Republic and gained two championships in a row with Nymburk. After that he surprised fans and experts by leaving the champions for big rivals in Prostejov. His performances and numbers went down, and last year he lost his place on the National Team. This season, he will be fighting for the rehabilitation of his name…
