Cras Basket Taranto fans were glad their team made the step up from the EuroCup Women to the EuroLeague this season because of weeks like this one.
The Italian outfit, which clinched its first win this season with a 90-79 victory at TTT Riga last week, host one of the top sides in Europe this week in Ros Casares.
More than 3,000 fans are expected to fill up the Palamazzol arena in Taranto.
"The game against Ros Casares will be a tough challenge but a stimulating one," Cras point guard Michelle Greco said.
"We will have to play at our best level if we are to have any chance of pulling off a surprise."
Ros Casares have begun the campaign with victories over Riga, TEO Vilnius and UMMC Ekaterinburg, winning by an average of 39.67 points per game.
Cras followed up their win at Riga with an 73-60 domestic triumph over S.S. Giovanni to remain unbeaten in Italy.
Coach Roberto Ricchini was thrilled with his players' performance.
"As always, the team play allows us to surpass obstacles," he said.
"We need to remain at the top in the league and take confidence in these performances in view of our EuroLeague campaign."
