|Agnieszka Bibrzycka is back and gives Polkowice additional firepower|
After attracting the interest of numerous clubs, Bibrzycka has decided to stay in Poland for the remainder of the 2011-12 basketball year.
"Agnieszka is a competitor who needs no introduction," said Krzysztof Korsak, the president of president of CCC Polkowice.
"Her skills are well known.
"The strength of our team with her in the composition will increase significantly.
"I am very pleased that we managed to put an end to negotiations and she decided to play with us.
"The ability to watch her in action it will be a great treat for fans."
Known as 'Biba', the 29-year-old small forward joins a Polkowice side that is sixth in EuroLeague Women Group B with three wins and six defeats.
She has four times been voted to the EuroLeague Women All Star Game.
One of her finest performances in the EuroLeague Women came at the 2007 Final Four when she erupted for 16 of her 23 points in the second half as hosts Sparta&K broke open a close game and beat CSKA Moscow, 90-76.
Biba was nine of 15 from the floor and four of seven from behind the arc.
She then celebrated a title as Sparta&K next defeated Ros Casares to clinch the first of four EuroLeague Women crowns.
Biba then joined Sparta&K's Russian rivals UMMC Ekaterinburg and celebrated numerous title wins on the domestic front while helping the club reach the Final Four every season.
She played 10 EuroLeague Women games in 2010-11 for UMMC, averaging 12 points and shooting a blistering 45.6% (26 of 57) from the floor.
After she became pregnant and left the side, UMMC still managed to reach the Final Four but lost to Sparta&K in the Semi-Finals.
Bibrzycka will not be eligible to play in the clash with UE Sopron on Wednesday.
