Liege coach Giovanni Bozzi couldn't get Arvydas Cepulis out of his mind after the Lithuanian's inspirational performance against the Belgian team.
Cepulis scored 13 of his 30 points in the final quarter to lead BC Siauliai to their first victory in Round II, an 87-82 win over Liege in Group I.
"We played well in and out for 20 minutes," Bozzo said.
"Afterwards, we lost control of game and we could not stop player number fourteen (Arvydas Cepulis)."
"He killed us," admitted Liege guard Karim Souchu, when asked about Cepulis.
Cepulis, a 1.96m forward, had scored his previous high in the EuroCup in a 104-97 defeat to Liege on January 9.
The result has left both sides with 1-3 records and needing to win their final two games in Group I to have a chance of reaching the quarter finals.
