Liege Basket got their EuroCup campaign back on track with a 75-64 win over BC Kalev in Tallinn.

Having lost their opening game of the competition to BC Kyiv, Liege bounced back using a balanced attack as five players registered in double figures.

American guard Morris Finley led the way on 18 points, Karim Souchu added 15, while veteran Great Britain international Roger Huggins had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

"We are really happy about the win because we didn't play our best," said Liege head coach Liege Basket head coach Giovanni Bozzi.

"I am happy about our rebounding. Rebounding can control the tempo of the game."

Also in the points were Ronald Ellis (11) and Francois Lhoest (10).

Romanian ace Catalin Burlacu demonstrated why Kalev were so excited to secure his signature in the off-season, leading the Estonian team with 18 points and eight rebounds.

He got the last five points of the first quarter to give the hosts an 18-15 advantage, but Liege then dominated in the middle two periods to take control of the game.

They began the second quarter on a 10-2 run, with a pair of free-throws from Huggins putting them 28-20 ahead, and although Kalev got close again early in the third quarter, it was a lead Liege never surrendered.

Travis Reed had 16 points for Kalev, while Gregor Arbet had 11 and Tanel Sokk 10.

"This team knows how to play the international game," said Kalev coach Veselin Matic.

"They changed rythm of the game. We didn't bring the ball inside and didn't have offensive rebounds. We had simple mistakes but played with heart. We need stability".
