UMMC Ekaterinburg handed CSKA Moscow their first defeat of the season in any competition on Tuesday to take a 1-0 lead in their EuroLeague Women quarter-final.

Penny Taylor, the most valuable player of Australia's gold-medal winning side at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, scored 18 points to lead Ekaterinburg to an 81-74 triumph.

With the Eighth-Finals in the books after Wednesday night's action the Quarter-Final match-ups are set for EuroLeague Women with undefeated CSKA Moscow leading the way.

Gundars Vetra wasn't fooled by the final score of CSKA Moscow's 83-64 triumph over Halcon Avenida on Tuesday.

The victory gave CSKA a 1-0 lead in the eighth-finals series against their opponents from Salamanca, but there were some uncomfortable moments in the game and Vetra has plenty to be concerned about with Game Two on Friday.
