Ilona Korstin provided a glimpse as to why she has been selected to front FIBA Europe's Year of Women's Basketball initiative with a 23 point, game-winning performance for BC Volgaburmash on Saturday against Dynamo Moscow.
The two sides did battle in the EuroLeague Women this season and the same team that won their play-off showdown prevailed again with Volgaburmash clinching a 90-84 triumph.
The success means that Volgaburmash, the defending EuroLeague Women champions, have won all 19 of their Superleague Women games in Russia.

Dynamo Moscow have fallen to third at 16-4 - a half game behind UMMC Ekaterinburg.
Volgaburmash stormed out to a 29-14 first-quarter advantage and though Dynamo refused to give in, they were unable to come all the way back.
Korstin was eight of 11 from the floor, including four of five (80%) from behind the arc.
Ann Wauters of Belgium also had 23 points and nine rebounds, and Maria Stepanova scored 15 and grabbed nine boards.
Wauter and Stepanova will both be taking part in the first-ever EuroLeague Women All-Star game on 8 March in Pecs, Hungary.
Korstin, as the face of the Year of Women's Basketball campaign, will officially unveil the logo during a media lunch in Budapest on 7 March and to the general public the next day during the All-Star game.
