Career: CSKA Samara (Russia-Superleague, 1997-2007), CSKA Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2007-08), UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia-Superleague, 2009-11)

Olga Arteshina made her mark in a strong Russian team at the age of just 17 when she found court time at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. Soon afterwards, she found herself as the youngest player in the team and a starter at EuroBasket Women 2003, where she ended up with gold after averaging 23 minutes per game and producing a memorable 17-point performance against Spain in the Semi-Final. Four years later she was even better and won another gold medal while also being voted to the All Tournament Team in Chieti, although she missed the Olympics due to pregnancy. She is a veritable veteran despite still being only 28-years-old. In club basketball, Arteshina has enjoyed success and this continues at UMMC Ekaterinburg. Not for the first time, she was named the MVP of the Russian Cup Final earlier this year after helping her team past Nadezhda. She brings a nice mixture of power and aggression in the low post as well as an ability to make jump shots.
