The National Team career of Santa Dreimane has been a roller-coaster ride of highs and lows. Having won bronze at U20 level and then subsequently attaining selection for EuroBasket Women 2007, she then had the heartache of missing the Olympics a year later due to serious injury. She also missed out at EuroBasket Women 2009 on home soil but was back in the mix last summer during the Qualifying Round. She loves dropping a three-ball on opponents and brings experience of playing in both EuroCup Women and EuroLeague Women. This former Latvian League All Star who finished last season in Italy could be a danger for opponents if she is selected once again and the team can get her some good open looks.
