Cras Basket Taranto rolled to a 70-59 victory in a battle of 0-2 teams at TTT Riga on Wednesday night in EuroLeague Women Group A.
Roberto Ricchini's side went in front by as many as 21 points in the third quarter and 23 in the fourth before settling for an 11-point triumph.
Cras reeled off the first 10 points of the game and led from start to finish in the rout.
TTT Riga, who nearly upset Galatasaray last week, showed great fight when they clawed their way back to trail 25-22 two minutes into the second quarter after a three-point play by Lyndra Weaver.
Cras outscored the home side 17-5 up to half-time, though, to lead 42-27 and they stormed to a decisive win.
Jami Montagnino poured in 12 of her 17 points in the first half for Cras while Rebekkah Brunson had 11 of her 17 before the break.
Montagnino was five of 10 from long range while Cras were six of 14 as a team.
Cras out-rebounded TTT Riga 45-36, with Brunson pulling down a game-high 17.
France's EuroBasket Women gold-medal winner Elodie Godin had 14 rebounds to go with her six points for the visitors.
Riga got 14 points from Lisa Willis while Cindy Lima finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.
The Italian side will find the going much harder next week when they host Spanish powerhouse Ros Casares while Riga will go up against TEO Vilnius.
