Having missed out at EuroBasket Women 2011 through injury and having not participated last summer due to the same reason, Brumermane is returning to the frontcourt after three years away. This will be a huge factor for Latvia, who will benefit greatly from her presence in the paint whilst the player herself, will no doubt be eager to go back up against some of the best pivots in Europe, having played in three previous Final Rounds, as well as an Olympics. Since leaving her homeland in 2010, she has played in the French and Italian leagues where she continued to play EuroLeague Women, having debuted for TTT Riga in the competition. She spent last year in Hungary with Bacsbasket. She is a defensive kingpin and the rock she provides in this respect, will be vital. Injuries may have slowed her down a little in terms of that explosive first step, but she has made up for that by improving her shooting range.
