Lithuania: Lietuvos Telekomas Secure First Season Title

Lietuvos telekomas Vilnius picked up their first honours of the 2004-2005 season at the weekend, becoming Baltic Women's Basketball League (BWBL) champions for the sixth consecutive time.

Lietuvos telekomas were not seriously tested in the final four, overwhelming fellow Lithuanian sides Arvi Marijampole, 106-82, in the semi-finals, and Laisve, Kaunas, 95-64, in the final.

Lavezzini Parma 80 vs. MAV Coop SE 66 // 06 January 2005 Lavezzini Parma overcame a blistering start from visiting side Szolnok to record their second EuroLeague Women victory of the season and first of 2005. Hungarian side Szolnok came racing out of the gate in the first quarter, reeling off an 8-0 run and taking firm control of procedings. But Parma quickly recovered their poise to tie the score at 18-18 at the end of the period, and Szolnok were unable to rediscover their fire.
