Less of a pure scorer and more of a hard worker, Uhrova is a classic point guard. She is the team’s smallest player at just 1.63 meters but is a fast and smart competitor. A member of the “dream generation” of Czech women’s basketball, she has collected gold or silver at every National Team level. She won three consecutive silver medals at junior European Championships and added a U19 World Championship gold in 2001 and a European U20 title a year later. She then became a full member of the senior team that won silver in 2003 and gold in 2005. Astonishingly all seven of the finals in which she has taken part were against Russia.
