Czech Republic: Kulichova Happy With Brno Decision

Promising center Petra Kulichova has explained her decision to join Gambrinus Brno for the upcoming season.

Kulichova, 20, produced some outstanding displays in the FIBA EuroLeague Women this season for Loko Trutnov, alerting several top teams in Europe.

In what was to be BK Loko's final game in the FIBA Euroleague, their objective tonight was to come out and try to put on a good show against Ros Casares for their fans. Despite three starters being out, and half of the team suffering from symptoms of the flu, the home team managed to win the first quarter 28-20.

Slovak Republic: Karnay Upbeat Despite Loss

Delta Kosice coach Vladimir Karnay was proud of his players despite seeing them go down 89-72 to joint Group B leaders Dynamo Moscow.

Delta managed to stay on the heels of their more talented opponents until the fourth quarter, when superb shooting - particularly from Natalia Vodopyanova, who ended with 21 points and also claimed 10 rebounds and six assists - pulled Dynamo clear and earned them their eighth win of the campaign.

Czech Republic: Sykora Bemoans Poor Start

Loko Trutnov coach Zdenek Sykora blamed a poor opening quarter for his side's 83-65 home defeat to Delta Kosice.

The visitors stormed to a 25-10 advantage in the first 10 minutes before consolidating their lead in the remaining half hour.
