Katharina Kuhn

Career: Rist Wedel (Germany-Bundesliga, 1999-2004), León (Spain-First League, 2004-2006), Wasserburg (Germany-Bundesliga, 2006-07)

In a very young German team, Katharina Kühn is one of the more experienced players even though she will be just 26 this autumn. Kühn has experience turning nothing into something on a club level. First she helped her home team Rist Wedel make the German Bundesliga. Then she joined Acis-Suli León and made sure the newcomer finished fifth in just their second season in Spain’s first division. Now this season the 1.92 meter center has taken a different approach, choosing Germany’s four-time champion Wasserburg as her new home. But even in a team loaded with options, Kühn came up with 6.4 points and 4.5 rebounds a game. She had her best performance as a member of the National Team in 2004 when she scored 14 points against Lithuania.
