The world famous "Atomic-Fly", Pozzecco is the player that boosted Italy to the silver medal in Athens with his change of rhythm, assists, scoring and all the things he can do on the basketball court. For these reasons, he fans elected him as a fan favourite, both inside and outside Italy. .... Crazy player and a crazy man, he was ejected two times from the national team in 1999 and 2003 and on both occasions Italy won a medal. .... In Athens, the unpredictable Gianmarco proved that wrong, and showed that he can be a part of a team and come off the bench, giving a spark to everybody, including opponents. .... The most famous image of the victory against the USA in a friendly game in Köln 2004 was the bow after making Allen Iverson crazy with one of his unbelievable moves.
