BC Khimki forward Oscar Torres will join team-mate Ruben Wolkowisky on the Rest of the World roster at the FIBA Europe League All-Star Day.

Although not originally selected as an All-Star, Torres will replace Besiktas' Andrew Ellis who has picked up a knee injury that will sideline him for 3 weeks.

Torres, who has drawn comparisons with NBA legend Clyde Drexler based not only on his looks but style of play, has been a key addition for BC Khimki this season.

The 198cm guard has averaged 15.7 ppg and 6.9 rpg in FIBA Europe League action. He proved particularly effective in Khimki's quarter-final series-deciding game three with UNICS Kazan, scoring 23 points (10/13 from the field) in his side's 98-80 victory.

This year is the first time ever that Khimki have advanced to the latter stages of a European club competition. They will face fellow Russian side Dynamo St. Petersburg in the semi-final on 27th April in Istanbul, Turkey.

Torres himself is no stranger to the big occasion. A member of the Venezuelan national team, he represented his country at the 2002 World Championships in Indianapolis, USA. He also has NBA experience, most recently during the 2002-2003 season with the Golden State Warriors.
