EUROCHALLENGE QUALIFYING ROUND

Atomerömü SE put one foot in the EuroChallenge Regular Season with a 70-48 thrashing of Arkadia Traiskirchen on Tuesday night.

Lee Nailon had 12 points and point guard Lorenzo Williams' all-round display caused a lot of problems for the visitors from Austria.

Williams finished with 11 points, eight assists and four rebounds.

Ferdinánd Morgen also had an important game for the winners, pulling down a team-high nine rebounds and scoring seven points.

Atomerömü took command over the last five minutes of the second quarter with Williams pulling the strings.

His pass set up Gergely Körtélyesi for a lay-up and then Williams himself added two straight baskets for a 27-18 half-time advantage.

An Adam Toth three-point play capped the 9-0 run at the start of the start of the third quarter for a 30-18 advantage.

Arkadia never managed to get the deficit below 10 the rest of the way.

The lead ballooned to 54-34 with an Ákos Kovács three-pointer at the end of the third quarter and Atomerömü ended up winning by 22.

Pranas Skurdauskas had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Arkadia, who have a mountain to climb when they host the second leg of the Qualifying Round tie next week.
