Wisla Can-Pack Krakow wrapped up second place in EuroLeague Women Group A with a 73-68 victory at Good Angels Kosice on Wednesday evening.
Erin Phillips had 16 points while recent signing Nicole Powell poured in 12 and also corralled a team-high nine rebounds for Wisla.
The result has left the Polish giants at 7-3 behind Group A winners Cras Basket Taranto.
Kosice have had to settle for third place with a 5-5 record.
They lost for the second consecutive time out, with Pecs beating them 75-72 last week in Hungary.
Zuzana Zirkova had made a shot from the arc to give Kosice a 66-62 lead with 4:38 to go but Wisla had an answer.
Phillips hit a jump shot and then Wisla captain Ewelina Kobryn sank two free-throws to knot the contest with 3:01 to go.
No one scored again until Powell, a former EuroLeague Women All-Star at Halcon Avenida, soared in for a lay-up on a fast break with 1:22 to go.
Wisla had the lead for good.
Phillips followed with two free-throws and Andja Jelavic added a basket for a 72-66 advantage.
Candice Dupree's lay-up with 11 seconds to go kept Kosice's faint hopes alive, but the hosts fouled Phillips and she made one of two at the stripe for the final score.
The difference in the game proved to be the free-throw shooting because Wisla made five more at the charity stripe (18 of 22) than Good Angels (13 of 13).
Each side hit 20 shots inside the arc, and both made five three-pointers.
