Wisla Can-Pack Krakow grabbed the final ticket to the EuroLeague Women Final Four on Wednesday night with an 78-73 win over Frisco Sika Brno.
Janell Burse led the way for the victors with 20 points and eight rebounds, while teammate Ewelina Kobryn recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
After an exceptionally tight first half that ended with the home side holding a narrow two point lead, Wisla tried to pull away late in the third quarter.
A Burse jump shot made it 61-55 Wisla with 3:01 remaining in the quarter, and a pair of Kobryn free throws pushed that lead to eight.
Both teams struggled on offense early in the final period, as the first two minutes did not see a single point put on the board.
When the drought was broken it was Brno that would do the deed, as Hana Horakova and Jelena Skerovic jumpers cut the Wisla lead back to two points 63-61.
A minute later another Horakova basket tied the game at 65, but they could not get over the hump.
The home side would eventually push their lead to as many as seven to hold on for the victory.
Skerovic led Brno with 18 points, four rebounds and five assists, while Taj McWilliams contributed 15 points and eight rebounds.
