In her first EuroLeague Women season (2006-2007), Dominique Canty averaged a steady 14.3 ppg. She scored a season-best in the EuroLeague Women with 23 points in a game against TEO Vilnius. In 2004, Canty played with Spartak Moscow Region in the EuroCup Women. She averaged 8.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 3.3 apg.

Canty played at the collegiate level with University of Alabama. While there, she was a two-time All American.
