Jelena Skerovic produced a stirring display to guide Wisla Can-Pack to an 81-70 EuroLeague Women Group A win over USO Mondeville on Wednesday.

As if draining a superb, game-high 34 points was not enough, the 1.70m guard grabbed nine rebounds and made seven assists to secure a fourth pool win for the Polish team.

Going into the final quarter, they led by just two points (59-57) but a spurt in the last 10 minutes saw off the plucky French visitors.

American forward Dominique Canty (16 points) and compatriot Anna De Forge (14 points) also came to the party for the hosts, who now have a 4-4 record and look like they are heading into the Eighth-Final Play-offs with bundles of confidence.

Only last week, they ruined group leaders Spartak Moscow's 100% record by claiming a 78-65 victory at Vidnoje Basketball Centre.

Mondeville were behind at half-time (43-34) but a 16-0 streak in the middle of the third quarter saw them take a five-point lead (51-46).

But they struggled thereafter, with only Ieva Kublina (17 points) really having a presence in the lane.

Giant center Silvia Janostinova (13 points and eight rebounds) had a good all-round game for the French, who stay second from bottom in the group with a 3-5 record.
