Two years after being an integral part of the Montenegro team which made such a huge impact at their first major tournament, DeForge is unexpectedly back at the heart of proceedings having not pulled on the vest of her adopted nation since Poland. Having been replaced by Eshaya Murphy in the naturalised spot during qualifying last summer, it looked like the 37-year-old had played her last game. But now the shooting guard looks like she will re-ignite her backcourt partnership with Jelena Skerovic who she played with last season at ZVVZ USK Prague. There are few more experienced players around, with DeForge having played for a host of top clubs on each side of the Atlantic. As well as her shooting prowess, she is also capable of handling the ball and will be a calming influence both on and off the court.
