Tina Thompson did it again as Spartak Moscow Region ran out 72-58 winners against hosts Wisla Can-Pack in EuroLeague Women Group A.

It was the second consecutive defeat for the Polish side who had been hammered 83-58 in their opener by MKB Euroleasing Sopron of Hungary.

Last week Thompson poured in 19 points and hauled down 10 boards in the victory over TEO Vilnius.

Against Wisla, she was even more lethal, contributing 28 points and 18 rebounds to her side's score.

The 31-year-old Californian had excellent support from fellow American Taj McWilliams, who had 12 points and 10 boards.

Spartak's Agnieszka Bibrzycka returned to her homeland to punish her countrywomen with a 12-point haul.

Anna De Forge was the best asset for Wisla with the American managing 20 points and eight rebounds.

Also with double digits for the losers were Anna Wielebnowska and Dominique Canty with 17 and 13 respectively.

A 12-2 run at the end of the first stanza allowed Spartak to take control.

Thompson punctuated the spurt by scoring on two consecutive trips as the Russian outfit took a 23-15 lead after one.

They increaed their to 15 after two quarters of play and never looked back in the second half.
