Hungarian side Sopron slipped to a third consecutive EuroLeague Women loss in Poland this evening, losing to home side TS Wisla Can-Pack.
A fourth quarter rally from Wisla saw them overcome a break open an otherwise close contest and keep their play-off hopes alive.
For 30 minutes both teams played each other to a standstill and the score was 52-51 in favour of Wisla going into the final quarter.
Wisla hit their opening four shots of the fourth period, prompting Sopron to take a timeout. But the break did not help the visitors, as Wisla continued to make their shots and open up a 7-point advantage 68-57 with 2:36 remaining.
The margin proved enough for the win and Wisla held on for their fourth EuroLeague Women victory this season.
The outstanding player for Wisla was center Maryna Kress. She exploded for a season high 23 points (including 7 in the last quarter) and 9 rebounds.
