BC Kyiv are celebrating a second straight appearance in a European final four after seeing off RheinEnergie Koln in a deciding Game 3 in their EuroCup quarter-final.

The German club, led by coach Sasa Obradovic, pushed the Ukrainian giants close all the way but eventually succumbed 71-64 on Wednesday evening.

Kyiv will now try to return to the title game but this year, win it.

They lost to Dynamo St Petersburg in the FIBA Europe League championship game last season.
Dynamo have also qualified for this final four.

Kyiv coach Renato Pasquali said: "I am glad to coach a team with such a great will for the victory.

"I think that every player made his contribution for the (decisive) win, but especially I would like to mark out Artem Butskyy, who made a crucial three-pointer at the end of the third quarter."

Pasquali says the Kyiv fans played their role, too.

"And of course I would like to thank Kyiv crowd for supporting us in hard moments."

One play who has been instrumental for the team has been Afik Nissim.

He made three of six three-pointers in the clinching win.

"I'm glad to help my new team in such a important game," Nissim said.

"I hope it won't be the last time I make Kyiv happy."
