| 11 December 2012 EUROCHALLENGE | | Soner Sentürk and Pinar Karsiyaka had little problems with Etha, routing the visitors 105-61 |
Pinar Karsiyaka underlined their superiority in Group A as they wrapped up the EuroChallenge Regular Season campaign with a 105-61 rout of ETHA. Ayhan Kentil scored 15 points to lead five Pinar players scoring in double figures and they outscored their winless visitors 51-25 in the second half to complete an outstanding display. ETHA hung with their hosts for the opening five minutes, but a 15-0 run that spanned the first and second quarters saw Pinar take complete control, going up 39-17 on Kentil's jump-shot. ETHA kept scrapping, and reeled off seven straight points of their own to get back to 43-30 on Donte Poole's lay-up. But they were only delaying the inevitable as Pinar began to pull clear once more, a Jon Diebler three giving them a 54-36 advantage at half-time and Robert Dixon hitting two more threes early in the third as they scored the first 11 points to go 65-36 up. Dixon and Umit Sonkol finished with 14 points each while Diebler had 13 and William Thomas 11. Ogo Adegboye led ETHA with 12 points while Dejan Cup had 10. |
