William Thomas and Pinar Karsiyaka got their second straight win in the EuroChallenge

Pinar Karsiyaka crushed KRKA Novo Mesto 79-56 to move to 2-0 in Group A of the EuroChallenge.

The Turkish side took control of the game in the second quarter and did not look back as KRKA were overwhelmed.

From 18-15 down early in the second, Karsiyaka went on an 11-2 spurt, highlighted by Umit Sonkol's three-pointer to lead 26-20. Sonkol had seven of the 11 points.

They took a 32-25 lead into the locker rooms and an 8-2 spurt early in the third made it 40-30 on another Sonkol three.

Sonkol had properly found his range by now, and two more three-pointers helped his side ease into a 48-32 midway through the third.

The contest was all but over, and Karsiyaka made sure in the final stanza as they outscored KRKA 29-17 down the stretch.

Sonkol finished with 16 points while Robert Dixon had 12, Abdul Aminu 11 and Ayhan Kentli 10 for Karsiyaka.

Edo Muric led KRKA with 17 points and Domen Lorbek had 12.
