Group A leaders Pinar Karsiyaka, who have won two-out-of-two in the Regular Season, are visiting Cyprus to face Michelin ETHA Engomi, the only team that has yet to tick the win column in the group standings.
Karsiyaka will take to the floor on Tuesday evening hoping to extend their winning streak to five games, the longest so far this season, and make a big step towards securing a ticket to the Last 16 of the EuroChallenge in the process.
Hosts Michelin ETHA Engomi on the other hand can hardly afford a third consecutive defeat if they want to keep their hopes of a top-two finish in the group intact and will have to make the most of their home-court advantage.
To put it simply, Karsiyaka, are looking very good right now.
Ever since losing in overtime to Tofas Bursa in the Turkish BEKO Ligi on 3 November, the Turkish side have won four consecutive games between the domestic league and the EuroChallenge.
This string of results included a 72-66 success over Euroleague outfit Fenerbahce Ulker and a 64-63 'revenge' on Tofas Bursa on the road, on the opening day of the EuroChallenge Regular Season.
Tuesday's game will be the second consecutive away from home for the Turkish side, who won 87-74 at Royal Hali Gaziantep BŞB on Saturday in the BEKO Ligi.
Karsiyaka took advantage of an excellent performance by Robert Dixon on the offensive end, as the American point guard went five-for-seven from behind the three-point arc and finished with 22 points.
ETHA also emerged victorious from a domestic league game on the road at the weekend.
They were trailing by seven points at the start of the fourth quarter but, led by shooting guard Donte Poole who finished with 16 points, they came from behind and won 75-73 at Petrolina AEK.
Great Britain international Ogooluwa Adegboye had a bad shooting night but dished out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds to go with his eight points.
SEASON SO FAR
|Robert Dixon has been a consistent performer in the EuroChallenge for Pinar Karsiyaka|
ETHA lost 100-73 at KRKA Novo Mesto in their Group A opener and slumped to a second defeat on the second day, 78-57 at home to Tofas.
Adegboye is the only ETHA player to have averaged over 30 minutes on the floor in the two games in the EuroChallenge Regular Season so far.
The point guard averages 12.5 points and is the team's second leading scorer after Bosnian power forward Dejan Cup, who has 13 per game.
The Tuesday game hosts are currently in fourth place in the Cypriot league standings, with two wins in four games.
21-year-old Danish international Jonas Bergstedt made his EuroChallenge debut last week and had eight points and seven rebounds against Tofas.
Karsiyaka on the other hand defeated Tofas 64-63 in their thrilling opener and followed up with a comfortable 79-56 over KRKA at home on the second day.
Coach Ufuk Sarica knows that he can count on consistent displays by point guard Dixon in the EuroChallenge as well.
The point guard is the team's leading scorer with 14.5 points and dishes out 6.5 assists per game.
Center Abdul Aminu has had a more discreet role in the EuroChallenge than in the Turkish league but still contributes 8.5 points, five rebounds and an eye-popping two blocks per game.
Forward William Thomas is the top rebounder for the Group A leaders with 5.5 boards per contest, to go with his seven points and 2.5 assists.
