The younger brother of team superstar Pau Gasol, Marc earned a surprising spot in the Spanish National Team for the 2006 World Championship. Nobody saw it coming as Gasol had only played seven minutes per game for F.C. Barcelona in Euroleague action before Pepu’s call.  But the 22-year-old played hard and performed well during the World Championship. This year, he has earned significant playing time with EuroCup winners Akasvayu Girona. Gasol is a very skilled player who can score in the low post and with mid-range shots. Besides that, he is a great passer for his size, plays solid defense and rebounds well.
