Girona big man Marc Gasol was one of two players recognised by the ACB for his stellar play.

Gasol was named the best domestic player after he scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Akasvayu Girona against Estudiantes on Sunday.

However, Gasol's efforts were in vain as Estu won the battle of the two EuroCup participants 84-79.

Caja San Fernando's Demetrius Alexander won the overall MVP of the week award after he poured in 24 points, grabbed six rebounds, and handing out two assists in his team's game against Barcelona.

That was the American's second MVP success of the season and fourth in his ACB career, although it was not enough to save Caja from a 95-85 home defeat to Barca.
