KARSIYAKA BRING IN ALLEN; GADDEFORS TO AALSTAR
Pinar Karsiyaka have lost point guard Ahmet Erdogan to a season-ending shoulder surgery and signed Chaisson Allen, a playmaker who began the campaign with Israel's Galil.
Erdogan, 25, averaged 3.6 points and 0.8 assists in 17.9 minutes per contest in Europe this season while Allen's numbers were 11.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in Israel.
He is expected to make his debut on Saturday when Karsiyaka take on Galatasaray in the Turkish BEKO Basketbol Ligi.
Karsiyaka are 2-2 in the EuroChallenge Last 16 and in second place in Group L behind Artland Dragons (4-0).
They are ahead of Antwerp Giants and Triumph Lyubertsy (both 1-3).
Okapi Aalstar, meanwhile, who stayed alive in the EuroChallenge with an 86-84 victory over Szolnoki Olaj in the Last 16 on Tuesday night, have signed Swedish international Anton Gaddefors.
The 22-year-old shooting guard/small forward has arrived in Belgium from Serbia, where he was on the books of Radnicki.
Gaddefors, who has replaced Kelvin Torbert in the squad, averaged 18 points per game in EuroBasket Division B last summer for Sweden - a team coached by Okapi boss Brad Dean.
Torbert had been filling in for the injured Alex Ruoff.
COUPE DE FRANCE
Elan Chalon and Roanne Basket have sealed their places in the Coupe de France Quarter-Finals after beating Pro B opposition on Tuesday evening.
The two sides, which are playing in the EuroChallenge, won their games convincingly on the road.
Chalon rolled to a 96-77 victory at Denain with Joffrey Lauvergne's 15 points leading a balanced scoring attack.
Rick Jackson poured in 21 points for Roanne as they prevailed 82-65 over Antibes.
EWE BASKETS IN ACTION
EuroChallenge outfit EWE Baskets will take the floor on Wednesday night at Ratiopharm Ulm in a battle to reach the Top 4, the cup competition for the top flight teams.
Ulm have been outstanding in the BEKO BBL with 17 wins and just three defeats, while EWE Baskets are 10-9.
