| 11 April 2012 EUROCHALLENGE | | Business as usual: Steed Tchicamboud not only played on Tuesday night, but led Elan Chalon to victory with a team-high 16 points |
Normal service appears to have resumed for Elan Chalon with Steed Tchicamboud playing an important role for the team in their blowout win over Chorale Roanne on Tuesday night. The point guard and team captain, who caused a ruckus at the club in their weekend game against Nanterre when telling coach Gregor Beugnot he would not re-enter the game, played in the Coupe de France clash against Roanne and poured in a team-high 16 points in a 75-56 victory. The win has qualified Chalon, a side playing at the EuroChallenge Final Four, for the Semi-Finals of the competition. The big surprise on Tuesday came when Pro B outfit Limoges upset Le Mans 60-57. Kyle McAlarney had 16 points and former France international Joseph Gomis 13 for Limoges, who out-rebounded Le Mans, 42-39. Le Havre scraped a 66-65 win over Nancy and Cholet had to dig deep before prevailing at Pro B outfit Boulazac, 72-57. |
