Lang Captures Player Of The Week

Elan Chalon may not be headed to the Quarter-Final Round of EuroChallenge, but their young shooting guard Nicolas Lang can console himself with EuroChallenge Player of the Week honors.

Lang, in only his second EuroChallenge appearance this season, scored 27 points on five for five shooting from two-point range and four of six from behind the line. 

Scavolini Fall But Top Group

A stellar 27 point performance by Nicolas Lang helped Elan Chalon to an impressive 94-88 win over Group K winners Scavolini Pesaro but it proved to be in vain as the French side missed out on a place in the last eight.

The home team had started the day believing they might still be able to punch their ticket but their hopes evaporated before tip-off after news filtered through that Apoel had already secured second spot courtesy of their win over KK Buducnost.

The Cypriot side bagged eleven three-pointers from 21 attempts and that was the difference in the game with both teams quite extraordinarily shooting and scoring the exact same numbers inside.

Chalon dominated the game from the early stages, with Jerome Tillman's dunk six minutes in sparking a 15-4 run that gave them a double-digit lead they surrendered only briefly in the second quarter before pulling away once again.
