USO Mondeville squeezed past TEO Vilnius down the stretch to secure only their second victory in EuroLeague Women Group D.
The French side recovered from a poor start to take a narrow lead into the fourth quarter and just held on as the tension got to both teams in a low-quality final 10 minutes.
Caroline Aubert starred with 21 points and six rebounds for USO (2-4), whose only other pool win up to this point had been their tremendous 91-62 thrashing of Dynamo Moscow.
TEO's American guard Nykesha Sales had a game-high 25 points in vain as the Lithuanians slipped to 2-4 as well.
The visitors enjoyed a great start, scoring the last six points of the first quarter to go 21-10 up.
They then stretched their advantage to 14 points (31-17) but USO went on a 8-0 run and finished the half just 36-32 behind.
By then, Sales (16) and Aubert (13) were the only players to have got into double figures.
USO had the better of the third quarter and took a two-point cushion (56-54) into the final 10 minutes.
It was nip and tuck at the start of the fourth period before both teams went ice cold. Between 7:18 and 2:54 left, only five points were scored in total.
Rima Valentiene's three-pointer with 2:22 left brought TEO level at 64-64.
But Naura El Gargati and Pauline Jannault each drained one of two from the charity stripe to put USO back in the lead at 66-64.
With the tension mounting, Lithuania guard Sandra Valuzyte missed her jumper with 17 seconds left as USO held on.
