Germano Zama Faenza trailed late in the game but scored nine unanswered points and marched to 77-70 victory in EuroLeague Women Group D over visiting USO Mondeville.
Edged 68-66 at home in Italy last week by MiZo Pecs 2010, Faenza were desperate to banish the memory of that setback and they did so on Wednesday.

Then with 2:22 to go, Daliborka Jokic made a jump shot and was fouled on the play, she converted the free throw for a three-point play.
Ballardini followed by burying a three-ball with 1:48 remaining to cap the surge and leave the Italian side in front at 72-66.
Caroline Aubert cut the deficit to four with a jumper, but the French side got no closer.
Point guard Marija Eric led five Faenza players in double figures with 17 points, while Lenae Williams scored a game-high 21 in defeat for USO Mondeville.
They have fallen to 1-4. |
